Neumarkt

On the way back from Rothenburg someone in the back seat (she, a little five year old, will remain nameless) had to make a potty break. We pulled off in Neumarkt. There are some castle ruins in Neumarkt. At night they light up the tower which is mostly intact. So we deicded to take a detour and stop by the castle on our way home. Ryan was able to climb the tower when he went before me and the kiddos got to Germany but it was locked when we got there.

When we pulled up to the ruins there was only a little day light left. It was cold and raining but it was beautiful. There used to be a moat surrounding the castle (all dried up now). A lot of the lower walls to the different rooms remained and the castle tower and outer walls were also there.
