Football Water

Had to go to Parsburg to pick up some things. Went to a bakery (which there are also a lot of in Germany). Had some great sandwiches. Still trying to get used to their hard breads though.

Also there isn’t a lot to drink besides soda and water in most places. Not bad you say. Well you have never tasted German water. You have two choices. Carbonated or mineral. Carbonated is just blah. And the mineral water taste like it just came out of a creek. I’m not talking about a nice fresh creek flowing in the woods. More like a stale creek at 5:00pm on a Sunday afternoon after the Buccaneers “freshened up” after their game… ok so maybe it isn’t that bad but I don’t for see myself drinking much of either kind while we are here.

Also after 5 years I have finally given my daughter soda. Yes, yes I know. But after walking around all day she needed something to drink. She had her nasty water choices, soda, or nothing. Most restaurants that we have been to do not have a lot of juices, ice tea, or lemonade. So Caelyn has had Sprite a few times. We now carry juice boxes and “American” water bottles in the car for when we are out.

Here are a few pictures from when we were in Parsburg. They were getting ready for a Volksfest (festival and carnival combined) We didn’t end up staying but the kiddos really enjoyed seeing the horses.
