Ryan has been out in the box training a lot. He goes back out for another rotation starting tomorrow. But this week they are supposed to get to come home at night.
Ryan’s company got Friday afternoon “off” from work but had to go to a mandatory “Family Fun” event. They had a luau. I was able to meet Ryan’s commander and some of his sergeants. They had a bounce house which Caelyn loved! Eli spend most of the time collecting pine cones and sticks. We didn’t stay too long because Eli didn’t get his nap and was falling asleep.
After we left the Luau Eli was getting ready to dose off so we decided to drive around and explore for a bit. Most of the notable things we have seen so far are found by chance while we were “exploring”. We will be driving down a country road and see a castle off in the distance a top a hill or come down out of the woods and see a beautiful church. That is what we found today. With a little more research after we got home and with the help of Google Translator and Yahoo search. It appears that attached to this Church is an old convent that is now a boarding school for boys that are gifted with a great voice.
Regardless it was absolutely breath taking coming out of the woods and looking down from a hilltop at this beautiful building in the town below.
