However, in my ½ awake state I completely forgot about getting the car seat. Strike two. No biggie Ryan could stop by the commissary and get dog food and the milk that I needed.
Ryan has been using my car on days that I don’t need it because his needs new breaks and he doesn’t want to drive it too much until they get fixed. So I was carless (strike three). Didn’t think it was that big of deal because I didn’t have enough car seats to go anywhere anyways.
Well of all days Rusty (our dog) decided to eat Desitin diaper cream (strike four). Luckily there was only a tiny amount left in the tube. The vet on post is closed on the weekends. (Strike five) There is an emergency vet about 30 minutes away… but again I didn’t have enough car seats so I couldn’t go any way.
Ryan was out of minutes on his prepaid phone (strike six) so I couldn’t get a hold of him to come home.
Rusty proceeded to throw up all over my house (actually a good thing). 7-8 times. He pretty much emptied his stomach. I don’t think he absorbed too much of it. He was pretty mellow for an hour or so but seems to be doing much better.
Don’t know any baseball game that you get six strikes… unless you count some of them as a foul ball… But the day has gotten much better. Rusty is back to his normal playful self. Ryan came home around lunch time so I was able to get a nap for a couple of hours while the kiddos took their naps. Making chicken parmesan for dinner. It’s going to be yummy! Still no word on the baby being born but the kids are getting along much better.
