PRK is the same concept as lasix but the procedure is different.
Ryan’s doctor had a death in the family so his surgery ended up getting pushed back a day. Eli was a trooper! Me and Eli spent hours and hours in the waiting room. Eli was so welled behaved! He was having a blast playing with his trains. We went for a couple of short walks but most of the time was spent in the waiting room.
Landsthul is a few miles away from Ramstein AFB. We actually stayed at Ramstein. It was like being back in the states! We had an awesome lunch at Chili’s and toured their huge PX. It was at least the size of two super Walmarts if not three. We did buy anything but it was just nice knowing that we could if we wanted too!
We had a nice hotel room with kitchen in it. Most of the time we hung out in the hotel when we weren’t at the hospital. Eli had fun playing with his trains and watching his Thomas movies. I even got to read a book! Prior to the surgery it was a very nice and relaxing time as a family… minus Caelyn.
We had to leave Sunday night for Ryan’s pre-op on Monday morning. That Monday was Caelyn’s first day back to school after Christmas break. We decided that she shouldn’t miss another week of school. She stayed with our neighbors while we were gone and some other great friends helped and gave her rides home from AWANA and Girl Scouts so she wouldn’t miss out on too much.
While I was the pushing force on her not missing school. It was not easy being so far away from her. We were able to talk to her each night after she got home from school. She had a blast “sleeping over” at their house but thankfully she was very happy when we got home!
We did get a little sightseeing in while we were there. Ryan found another castle. Eli was sleeping and I was tired so I didn’t get out but Ryan was able to get out and look around a bit.

What a cute "Little man."
