I wasn’t exactly excited about this prospect but I didn’t have much choice… as Ryan was still having some double vision. I actually surprised myself. I did pretty well. Of course, most of it was on the Autobahns but there were quite a few time we had to stop on hills when we got off the autobahns. Only one time it was a problem… but luckily there wasn’t anyone behind me.
After Ryan’s appointment we stopped by Ramstein and Ryan bought me a Cinnabon for doing such a good job… secretly I think he just wanted one ;-)
His recovery went pretty well. He had to do multiple types of eye drops multiple time a day. He is still taking some but not near as many. He said it wasn’t so much painful as it was irritating. He said it felt like when you have something in your eye but you can’t get it out. Because any touching or rubbing of the eye and tear the scab that forms after the surgery and can cause damage. He slept with goggle at night to prevent him from rubbing or bothering them at night… but he made me swear that I wouldn’t take picture of him sleeping in his goggles. Sorry!
Ryan’s eye are doing much better. He does not need his glasses anymore. His vision is actually better then mine with glasses now. He still needs to wear sunglasses when he is outside to protect them from damage. He has a special profile that allows him to wear sunglasses while in uniform. He hears a lot about that from the other guys… but I think that they are just jealous that they can’t wear sunglasses.
Okay, Ryan isn't looking, now you can show us the picture of him in his googles:-)
